Food is the basic necessity of every living being. Every human being on this planet must get food to eat. I feel guilty when I eat three meals a day and ignore the hunger of millions of those who do not even get one square meal a day. But then, are we really in a position to help these millions. Certainly not. However we can definitely make a difference in the life of one person. Help in feeding at least one person a day. That’s when I decided to contribute to ISKCON Food for life. And I am extremely happy with my decision and am also enjoying guilt free meals. I specially contribute on auspicious occasions and festivals such as Makar Sankranti, Akshaya Tritiya, Ekadasis etc.If every gentleman on this planet feels this is our responsibility to make even a small contribution towards this humanitarian cause, this planet would be a happier and a less hungrier place…

ISKCON is the ultimate liberator…This amazing organisation not only liberates souls from this terrible material world but also liberates needy souls from their hunger pangs.. Because it not only distirbutes the Harinam freely ,but also distributes free food for life . Becoming a part of this glorious organisation has taught me to lead a selfless life . Here I got to know that the real purpose of life is not to stay here happily but to leave from here happily . I wish and pray to The Supreme Lord Sri Krishna that more and more people please come forward and help ISKCON in this selfless mission of distributing food to millions of poor people and in turn they will help themselves by receiving the mercy of His Divine Grace Abhay Charanarvinda Bhaktivenda Swami Srila Prabhupada.

It was our anniversary and we were happily thrilled to get a message from ISKCON Food for life wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Extremely kind of them. And then in the message I read, why not feed some people with Food Prasadam on our anniversary day. We both liked the idea. What could be a better way to celebrate this day? We were very happy to contribute. I would recommend this to all reading this message. Please spiritualize all auspicious occasions like Marriage, Birthdays, Wedding Anniversaries, Samskaras, Sraddhanjalies, and all other special occasions in your life by feeding people plates of Food Prasadam.

I have been connected to ISKCON more than 25 years and have closely seen ISKCON distribute hundreds of thousands of plates of food prasadam both in normal conditions and in crisis situations such as the covid pandemic and other emergencies. Not only is the prasadam hygienic and tasty but the servers also distribute the same selflessly & tirelessly with devotion. This Food for life program is an ideal solution to the problem of hunger in society and should be expanded as much as possible to encompass the whole world. All Glories to Food for Life. ISKCON Food for life is inspired by its Founder His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada’s compassion towards all suffering souls in this world. Srila Prabhupada said no one in a radius of 10 miles of any ISKCON temple should go hungry. People in this world are hungry, both materially and spiritually and ISKCON Food for life Annadanam project is fulfilling both these necessities.
